Enter a title for the page, category, or specialized record. This title will be displayed at the top of the content pane unless suppressed through a style/options setting. This title will also be incorporated into the the page title sent to the browser.

If this box is checked, the web page based on this record will not exist to the public view. It will still be viewable while in edit mode. While in edit mode, hidden pages are indicated by a red slashed zero in the list view.

This optional field allows you to specify a shorter alternate title for use when this page or category appears on a navigation menu. If not specified, the full title will be used.

This field allows you to specify a link URL and is only relevant to types link (offsite) and link (onsite). The link will be used exactly as entered so for an offsite link the entry should start with "http://". For an onsite link, the URL may be either absolute (http://....) or relative (eg: /store/).

This field contains the primary content for a page or specialized record. It is not available for categories.

This field should contain a summary description of the page or category. The size of the field is limited to 255 characters (about three lines), any excess will be truncated. This description will be displayed on the parent's list page as well as on this page's focus page if enabled by style/options (show description on page).

Keywords is an optional field intended for search engine optimization by providing a page specific keywords metatag. If entered, keywords should be comma separated. The list may be up to 250 characters long. Longer entries will be truncated so please check after updating if you enter a long list (long lists are a bad idea anyway).

If you specify keywords, a metatag is constructing combining any keyword list in the site template with keywords from the current page. Current page keywords are listed first followed by the template keywords.

If your site template currently has a keywords metatag, DO NOT enter any keywords until you remove the metatag as this will result in two keyword metatags which can adversely affect your search engine rank.

Eventually our own search engine will also make use of these keyword lists.

This field optionally specifies an option set for "for sale" items.

If an image (or images) is specified, this setting controls the alignment of the image on a focus page display. The options are:

• right - the image will be right justified with text wrapping on the left
• center - the image will be centered with text below
• left - the image will be left justified with text wrapping on the right
• center down - the image will be centered below the text

If you use the upload function for the image, this field is automatically set to the correct value.

This field optionally specifies the width in pixels of the thumbnail image to be displayed on the list page for the parent of this item.

If you use the upload function for the image, this field is automatically set to the correct value.

This field optionally specifies the name of an image to be displayed as the icon for the list display of this item. The path is assumed to be /icons.

This field optionally specifies the width of the optional icon display for children of this item.

This field specifies the height of the optional icon image to be displayed in the list display for children of this item.

This field optionally specifies catID to select a random image from.

If you use the upload function for the image, this field is automatically set to the correct value.

This field optionally allows you to restrict viewing of this item to authorized users.

• If you enter the item ID of a system user, only that user will be allowed to view this item.
• If you enter the item ID of a category with default content of system user, any of the children system users of that category will be allowed to view this item.
• In either case if the client attempts to navigate to this item, a login screen will be presented.

Any value in this field is automatically inherited by any children items created so if you wish to create an entire area of the website that is protected, you should first create the top level item and enter a viewauthID before creating children items.

When an item is moved, the new parent's viewauthID is replicated to the item.

SubSiteID may optionally be set to a non-zero value to create a separate area of your website. The value entered will be inherited by any items created under this item.

Changing the subsetID is an advanced feature and the field should normally be set to "0".

Every item type has a default sort order for display of children, typically alphabetic by title. This field lets you alter the sort order for the list display. The choices are:

• default - the default sort order for this item type will be used
• Title - alphabetic by title. For most item types this is equivalent to the default setting.
• Sort - the list display will be sorting using the values entered in the sort field of the children items. This allows you to manually alter the ordering of items.
• Date (newest first) - newly entered items will be displayed first. This is the default sort order for news items.
• Date (oldest first) - newly entered items will be displayed last.
• Description - items will be ordered alphabetically based on the description field.

You may optionally enter numeric values in this field to manually control the display order of children items. This would be used in conjuction with setting the parent item's order by field to sort.

Note that menu display order is always based on this sort code unless overridden by checking Sort by Title on the template vnav tab.

When entering new items a sort code value is automatically generated that places the new item at the end of the list when ordered by sort code.

This numeric field specifies the content, if any, to be displayed in the right auxiliary content pane. Possible values are:

• -1 to suppress the right content pane for this page
• 0 or blank to use default from parent or template
• n where n is the ID of the item which is to be displayed

If not specified or suppressed, the system will next check for a parent specifier and use that if found. It will finally check for a global setting on the template item.

Conversely, any value set here will be inherited by immediate children items when displayed as the focus page.

If this box is checked then the children of this item will be used to generate vertical navigation menus when this item or one of its children becomes the focus item.

If this box is checked, a horizontal content menu will be placed near the top of the content pane with this item's children becoming the choices offered on the tabs.

Checking this box will disable the WYSIWYG editor for this item. The text field can still be editing using the plain text editor.

If this box is checked the contents of this item will be displayed in gallery mode rather than normal page/list mode.

Gallery Mode

• Appropriate for image content.
• If the focus page has content, this is displayed at the top of the content pane followed by thumbnails of children items which are displayed in a matrix. The number of rows and columns in the display matrix can optionally be set by adding an image options set.
• Navigation and paging generation permits large galleries as well as nested ones.

Page/List Mode

• This is the normal display mode. If the focus page has content, this is displayed at the top of the content pane followed by a list display of the focus item's children with thumbnails on the left.
• With proper menu options set, navigation and paging generation is automatic.

This enables RSS feed.

Gallery Mode

• Appropriate for image content.
• If the focus page has content, this is displayed at the top of the content pane followed by thumbnails of children items which are displayed in a matrix. The number of rows and columns in the display matrix can optionally be set by adding an image options set.
• Navigation and paging generation permits large galleries as well as nested ones.

Page/List Mode

• This is the normal display mode. If the focus page has content, this is displayed at the top of the content pane followed by a list display of the focus item's children with thumbnails on the left.
• With proper menu options set, navigation and paging generation is automatic.

This field optionally allows you to specify a browser target window in which to open the associated link. For example, to force a new browser window enter "_blank" in this field.

This field contains the date that this item was created.

This field is intended to optionally contain the date this item should disappear. This feature is not yet implemented.

This field is intended to optionally contain the item ID of an item to move this item to upon expiration. This feature is not yet implemented.

This field is intended to display the archived status of this item. This feature is not yet implemented.
